Romans_03

As I read the above passage, I hear and understand the Apostle Paul calling us to live a life that is noticeably different than others. As Christians, there should be some distinct differences in how we live our lives. Have you ever wondered how we obtain this kind of living? Well I think the answer is found in the first two verses of this passage. We start to obtain this type of life by the renewing of our mind and not conforming to the pattern the world is following. Paul writes in Romans 12:1-2, “…I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God… Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Our minds are under constant attack by the media, by culture, by the people we hang out with, and what is accepted as the norm.

Our mission statement is: To help students and families EMBRACE the truth of the Bible, EQUIP and ENGAGE them in ministry, and ENCOURAGE them to share their faith with others they meet. This is fulfilled through fellowship, community, and connecting with God on a regular basis. The philosophy of our student ministry is to transform the minds of teenagers with the word of God, so they will be equipped and ready to give an answer for the hope that is in them. The constant renewing of the mind is done through reading and hearing of the word of God, applying what we read and hear to our lives, and by surrounding ourselves with good friends. The constant renewing of the minds is the key to this kind of transformed life.
